COVID-19 Information – COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Lights System)

The Government has announced that the New Zealand COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF) will come into effect from 11:59pm on 2 December 2021.

We want to provide our volunteers, officials, athletes and spectators with a safe environment so they can enjoy athletics and club nights. A safe community is a COVID-19-free community and we believe vaccination is the best available protection against the spread of COVID-19.

As such, the PNAHC Committee has made the decision to make club nights and events COVID My Vaccine Pass Certificate events, for each and all club nights for the foreseeable future.

At club nights from Tuesday 7 December 2021, all people aged 13 and over will be asked to provide printed or digital evidence of their My Vaccine Pass Certificate to a PNAHC Volunteer through the current entrances used during the current club nights. To streamline the process for future club nights the club will hold a database and check in people each week. Everyone will still be required to enter through the entrance as usual.

Please note that, as well as showing a valid My Vaccine Pass Certificate before entry, everyone is also required to comply with the following general measures:

- Everyone entering the Manawatu Community Athletics Track MUST scan in via the COVID Tracer QR Code.

- Face coverings should be worn by all when not competing or officiating, where appropriate.

- Exercise responsible physical distancing while spectating, keeping at least a 1 metre distance where applicable.

- If you are unwell, please do not come out to the Manawatu Community Athletics Track.

The PNAHC Committee want to run events and club nights where our numbers are not restricted and this is the only way forward. This however means that anyone who is not vaccinated (or cannot prove they are vaccinated or exempt) will not be allowed to participate in our events from 3 December 2021.

We encourage our members and visitors to get vaccinated as soon as possible and to download their My Vaccine Pass Certificate on a scannable device to continue enjoying athletics in 2021/22.

Please continue to treat everyone in our community with respect, kindness and understanding no matter if their views may be different to your own.

Nga mihi,

PNAHC Committee
