NOVEMBER OFFICIALS COURSES

STARTERS COURSE – NOVEMBER 7^TH

The IAAF Congress met earlier this year and endorsed the new “no false start rule”. This rule is effect in NZ as of 1st October 2009, and as a result Athletics NZ is running a nationwide series of courses to upskill and train Starters and Referees.

All starters are strongly encouraged to attend as well as referees.

The Manawatu Wanganui course is being held at MCAT, Palmerston North on November 7^th 2009 from 12pm onwards.

Course will be taken by Warren Hastings.

INTRODUCTORY OFFICIALS COURSE – NOVEMBER 22^ND

There is an officials training course planned for November, which is designed to train officials in the basics of officiating athletics. This course is suitable for parents, new officials, officials wanting a refresher, or athletes wanting to know more about the rules regarding their event(s).

November 22nd 2009 – Resource Room, Sport Wanganui from 1pm – 4pm.

Registration is essential. Please confirm your attendance no later than November 18^th.
